    On 3ds Max 2019 I can't see the silhouette of the shape along the spline (as you do at 8:17), so selecting them to move them around isn't easy, would you have any tips on dealing with that please? Thank you!

    Although I love using 3ds Max and I admit that it is one of the most powerful 3d software on the earth.. however lofting and sweeping 1 and 2 rails in Rhinocores is much more powerful. Anyway thanks for sharing

      I started my journey in 3D with 3Ds Max. It was the property of Discreet back then. I am quite disappointed on the development of it since last 10 years.

      @@Stereopixol I agree with you, I see some free software that are able to model things easily and achieve nice results with short time. a part from this fact I saw some of really awesome modeling plugins that only support Maya and blender, such as Hard mesh for Maya and Box cutter for blender.

      Probably you have not selected the right modifier stack. Select the top stack.

    This technique is not working 100% for me. When I select a spline and get shape from a donut, the donut shape appears but when I move the path to 50 or 100% and get shape from a smaller/bigger donut, there's no change at all. Please help me if you can.

    • @Stereopixol
      @Stereopixol  9 лет назад

      +Broken Nose , when you are creating the donut I will strongly recommend to increase the size from the parametric values .... like from radius , instead of scale the donut using scale tool. I hope that will do. Or else try the deformer from the modify panel after you apply the loft you go straight to 5:50 of the video and get an idea.

    Im new to 3ds max and i need help making a propeller for an airplane. Can you make a tutorial on this?

    • @Stereopixol
      @Stereopixol  9 лет назад

      +Jeff _21 Hi Jeff , Thanks for contacting. Right now I already have few videos on the pipeline. it might take some time. but if you follow this tutorial carefully and try to put it in terms of the propeller , it will be a bingo. try to think and use the cross section of the propeller and also don't forget to use twist deformer from the loft options.
